Meanwhile the the House GOP began its impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. In New York, an appeals court refused to delay Donald Trump’s scheduled civil fraud trial set to begin Monday.

And then in the U.S. Senate, we saw Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife plead not guilty to federal bribery charges on Wednesday, the passing of Sen. Feinstein, and the chamber unanimously passing a formal dress code.
